We have launched a National Conversion Therapy Helpline to support victims and survivors of so-called “conversion therapy”.
In May of this year, the Government outlined its plans to ban conversion therapy. Before legislation begins, the Government is launching a public consultation on the ban itself. The ban is very much welcomed by the LGBT+ community, but there are concerns that the consultation and the debate around the legislation may prove traumatising for victims and survivors of these so-called “conversion therapies”.
