Ben was attacked by a group of men. They laughed at him and called him a homophobic slur before assaulting him with a brick. Ben had to go to hospital for his injuries. …

Aisha

Aisha was facing transphobic harassment on social media. People created groups to insult her, out her and share pre-transition photos.

Nelson

Nelson was 17 when he was referred to Galop after prolonged abuse from his family and church because they suspected he was gay.

Vanessa

Vanessa arrived in the UK from South America aged 31 and was placed in a male immigration hostel, as she had not felt safe to disclose that she was a trans woman.

Abdulah
